From 1 January 2027, the UAE's largest businesses must issue invoices as structured e-invoices through an accredited provider. Everyone else follows on 1 July 2027. A PDF will no longer count.
The dates that matter
The invoice becomes data, and it is checked before anyone accepts it.
PDFs, Word files, scans and emails are not e-invoices. An e-invoice is structured data in the PINT AE format.
